About Kayleigh
Hello, I am Kayleigh Hanmore, a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist working with children, adolescents, and adults across Colchester, the Tendring area, and online.

My background and journey
Before qualifying as a psychodynamic therapist, I spent 15 years working within the education system. During that time, I witnessed first-hand the growing pressures on mental health for both young people and adults, and how deeply emotional challenges influence daily life. Drawing on both personal life experiences and professional insights, I committed myself to supporting individuals through their challenges, walking side by side to bring lasting clarity and healing.

A relaxed, welcoming space
Therapy should never feel intimidating. When you step into my room, whether in person or online, you will find a calm, friendly, and non-judgemental environment. Whether you want to reflect on your week, explore difficult emotions, or unpack past experiences, this is entirely your space. We work collaboratively at your own pace, with absolutely no pressure to discuss anything before you are ready.

Qualifications and specialisms
I hold a Master's degree in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy (Child and Adolescent) from the University of Essex, alongside a BA (Hons) in Therapeutic Communications and Therapeutic Organisations. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work to rigorous ethical standards. My core specialisms include trauma, SEN, and anxiety, providing experienced and compassionate care for young people and adults alike.
